Mughal Architecture, famous Sufi shrines or even newer structures that show inspiration from the history form the core of his work. 

A.Q. Arif is a modern painter in the sense that he uses modern techniques to execute his paintings. Graduating from the Karachi School of Art in 1996, Arif has come a long way to the present status as a painter. He has extensively exhibited his works in Pakistan as well as in the UK, USA, UAE, Hong Kong and India.
