Farrukh Shahab is a prominent Pakistani artist and art educator who serves as Chairman of the Fine Arts Committee at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and as a lecturer at ACIAC.
Initially known for his mastery in portraiture, Shahab gained early recognition when he was awarded a Gold Medal at the Sindh Artists’ Exhibition in 1990 and received top honors at the Quaid-i-Azam Portrait Exhibition in Karachi in 1995. His artistic journey expanded through visits to Paris and London, where he explored major museums and interacted with artists, later continuing his studies at the Art Students League of New York. His work has also been exhibited at the Montague Gallery in Soho, New York.
Over the years, Shahab has painted portraits, architecture, and landscapes, while also developing an abstract linear style influenced by Cubism. His works are included in notable collections such as the World Bank in Washington and the Governor House Karachi. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Karachi, Lahore, New Delhi, Hong Kong, and London, continuing to evolve his mature artistic practice.
