Asim Amjad

Asim Amjad is a Pakistani contemporary artist, psychologist, and art therapist known for his expressive landscape paintings and thoughtful exploration of human emotions through art. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, he combines his academic background in psychology with visual arts, bringing a unique psychological depth and introspective quality to his work.

Amjad holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and has received formal training in fine arts from the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and the Lahore Arts Council. His artistic practice reflects a strong connection between emotional expression, nature, and the inner landscape of the human mind.

Working primarily in oil on canvas, his paintings often depict landscapes that serve as metaphors for personal reflection and hidden emotions. Through color, texture, and atmosphere, he transforms natural scenes into poetic visual narratives that explore themes of contemplation, beauty, and the complexities of contemporary life.

Over the years, Asim Amjad has held numerous solo exhibitions in Pakistan and has participated in group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, including shows in Lahore, Karachi, the United States, India, and Europe. His long-standing engagement with art education and therapy has also positioned him as a pioneer of art and drama therapy practices in Pakistan.
